Kathy Kamin, NMD Dr. Kamin is a graduate of Bastyr University in Seattle, which is one of the few accredited naturopathic medical schools in the United States. After graduating in 1992, she practiced in Arizona, where she has a medical license and DEA license to prescribe medicine. Dr. Kamin has extensive training in hands-on therapies and lifestyle approaches to assist in optimal health. She has a three year specialized training certification in Naturopathic studies of Osteopathic healing modalities. What is a Naturopath? A Naturopathic Physician is one who graduates from an accredited medical school, which is a 4 year post graduate program. They then sit for both a basic science board exam and a comprehensive board exam. In some states, there are prescriptive licensing exams and a DEA license is issued to prescribe pharmaceuticals. Dr. Kamin's current licenses are from the state of Arizona. Dr. Kathy only prescribes natural substances. As a Naturopath, she believes that the majority of ills can be treated effectively without pharmacy prescriptions. If a prescription is needed, she will refer you to an MD for assistance. Dr. Kamin enjoys sports, learning, and teaching others. She resides in New River, AZ with her daughter, five dogs, six birds and many other adopted local animals. |
